First dog swim! #zoomtheenglishcocker
#tbt This spring when the mini-meadow was lush and green #wildflowers #nativeplants #pollinatorgarden
I’m so impressed with this little guy. I thought “roll over” was just something dogs did on YouTube, and he’s learned it in an afternoon. #zoomtheenglishcocker
Today’s basket is likely about the end of the spring tomatoes. (We planted one last month that’s blooming now.) Alabama Red okra are still going strong. We experimented with late planting pattypan squash to avoid vine borers, and so far it’s a success. Last but certainly not least is our first winter squash—Koginut from @row7seeds. Swipe to see a close-up of its scale; it’s a perfect size for risotto 🤤#homegrown #kitchengarden #potager #organicgardening #biodynamicgardening
Today’s basket: so many tomatoes and a few peppers #🍅
Been farming long? #zoomtheenglishcocker
It’s Friday, so we’re just hanging, putting out the vines #row7seeds #centercutsquash
Happiest of birthdays to @adamsvaughan You bring me joy!
Y’all give a warm welcome to Fig and Zoom #englishcockerspaniel
Came through drippin #lsugoldfig #ripewhengreen #birdscanttellitsripe #moreforus
Today’s haul shows how stressed the tomatoes have been from the heat, but the cucumbers and okra are living their best life #organicgardening #kitchengardening #potager
We’re big fans of Row 7 seeds. This cucumber has great flavor and really does well when sautéed.
Sakura and Hana have grown up so fast! They should start laying in a couple of weeks. #chickensofinstagram
Adam is on a roll with lacto fermented vegetables. These are half ripe tomatoes (to keep some texture and tartness) and eggplant. They’re simply sliced and put in brine. Much easier than messing with vats of boiling water! #lactofermentation #pickles #tomatopickle #eggplantpickles
Today’s basket is peak tomatoes and start of figs. When I told my grandmother how many tomatoes we were getting from just four plants, she said, “You must have planted in the moon.” #oldfolksknow #homegrown #potager #biologique
Adam’s Land Rover skills are quickly surpassing mine, and that’s another reason I love him. #greasyhands #masc4masc #mech4mech
Fun fact: our blackberries turn reddish when they’re frozen. A new Atlanta United variety?
Our first squash of the season. This one was my great grandmother’s favorite. We have a terrible time with vine borers and are waging war this year. Let’s hope we win! Have a tip? Let us know!
Love wins! Happy Pride!
Wishing everyone this much joy
